WHERE DO THE DONATIONS GO?
When making your tax-deductible donation, you can assign your donation to a local club near each MLB city (by selecting that MLB team). All donations go directly to the national BGC organization to be distributed as follows:
- 85% will go to your local chapters; and
- 15% will go to the national organization
- 15% will go to the national organization
WHAT IS THE DONATION COMPETITION?
To make this event more interesting and to encourage more giving - our "Bonus Fund" introduces a friendly competition between the donors from the various MLB cities to see which city can best exceed their goals - and win bonus money for your their local chapters.
Example of how the BONUS FUNDS might be distributed (based on the amount of donations per city).
A percentage of the BONUS FUNDS will be divided amoungst the top 10 cities as follows:
1st Place - World Series Winner 24%
2nd Place - World Series Finalist 16%
3rd Place - Conference Series Finalist 14%
4th Place - Conference Series Finalist 12%
5th Place - Division Series Finalist 10%
6th Place - Division Series Finalist 8%
7th Place - Wild Card Team 4%
8th Place - Wild Card Team 4%
9th Place - Wild Card Team 4%
10th Place - Wild Card Team 4%
