Steve is an EV enthausiast, a habitual volunteer for youth causes, and a Washington Nationals fan (did he tell you already that this is their year!).
As he also suffers from chronic wanderlust, Steve is excited to be able to combine these four favorite vices into one Epic trip .
Steve is a husband, a father of three wonderful adult daughters and works as a structural enigneer in Northern Virginia.
Dave is an avid MLB (and Washington Nationals) fan and knows almost all there is to know about sports, music, and politics. (Unfortunately, Dave knows little about much anything else, including Electric Vehicles.)
Dave recently retired after 25 years of public service at the US Senate and is enjoying a less hectic schedule these days, freelancing on various radio and TV projects.
Dave has no criminal record (yet). He believes in the “Golden Rule” and also believes in driving the speed limit.
Mike is an environmental activist, a road and waterway travel enthusiast, a sailor, and a fan of all Washington DC sports teams.
With an entrepreneurial business background, Mike is a semi-retired editorial, web and media consultant and heads a non-profit environmental organization.
Mike lives with his wife of 30 years and their three kitties in Virginia's beautiful Northern Neck on a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay.
Steve, Dave and Mike are brothers who were raised in Northern Virginia and in their formative days were afflicted with heavy exposure to the hapless Washington Senators (both types). They have taken on this adventure due to their love of: baseball, youth causes, electric vehicles, and the environment. Steve and Dave will be making the trip, while Mike provides web support and other help.
The Aharts are not employees of BGCA, Tesla or the MLB - and have neither sought nor received compensation from those organizations (other than a few complimentary game tickets). It has yet to be seen if Steve and Dave will be turning away offers of free beer and conversation at the ballpark from the kind fans of the Epic EV Roadtrip.
